Country Cream Milk
Country Cream® Instant 100% Real Non-Fat Powdered Milk, Dutch Milk Chocolate drink, Soy Milk, Chocolate Soy Milk and MilQ milk alternative whey drink are the country's best in powdered milk products. Voted number one in taste tests with other national and local brand milks.

WHY WE LIKE IT:
It tastes SO good.  Powdered milk has gotten a bad rap over the years.  Country Cream Milk is made with real milk and does not have that nasty powdered milk taste we have grown to despise.  (The chocolate milk is like a dessert in a drink) Yum.

Sun Ovens
Cooking in a Sun Oven is easy, fun, natural, and nutritious, while helping the environment. Sun Oven are ideal for everyday use in your back yard, at picnics, while camping, or in the event of a power failure. They can help keep your house cool in the summer by keeping the heat from cooking outside.

WHY WE LIKE IT:
For one, it gets us off the grid. Two, living in Texas we don't have to heat up or home to cook and it's energy saving.  Plus, it makes the most tender of meets and soft breads.  Very versatile.
Palm Shortening
Palm shortening is derived from palm oil. In its natural state, palm oil is a mixture of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, with most of the unsaturated fat being monounsaturated fat. Palm shortening is palm oil that has some of its unsaturated fats removed, giving it a very firm texture, and high melting point. The melting point of our Organic Palm Shortening is 97 degrees F., making it very shelf stable. It is NOT hydrogenised, and contains NO trans fats! It is great for deep-fat frying and baking, and is not prone to rancidity. Since it has been separated from some of the unsaturated portion of the oil, it is colorless and odorless, and will not affect the taste of foods like Virgin Palm Oil does.

WHY WE LIKE IT:
It has an indefinite shelf life.  Did you read that right?!? Yes, it has an indefinite shelf life.  Think about all of the food storage items that you will need an oil to prepare.  Oils typically have a very short shelf live and go end up going rancid in a storage situation.  With palm shortening all this storage concerns can be avoided.
Dehydrated Meal Buckets
The buckets contain disaster preparedness food packs that are designed to fulfill individual or family disaster and emergency preparedness food storage needs by presenting a variety of current dehydrated food products to provide for long-term storage food. The emergency food is packaged and sealed into 5-gallon pails. These pails are flushed with nitrogen gas and oxygen-absorbing packets that are added immediately prior to sealing to greatly extend shelf life. The shelf life of the disaster preparedness food unopened with the original seal is 25 years and we suggest a “best if used by” date of 2 years after the seal of the pail is broken.
The food is packaged in a convenient family-size presentation, that delivers 5 servings of survival food per package for rice dishes, and approximately 12.5 servings for the vegetable and lentil soup foods. We offer a variety of preparedness food items in each pail.

WHY WE LIKE IT:
Most retail food storage companies charge around $2/serving for dehydrated food. These are highest of high quality food storage items for the lowest possible price. Servings start at just $.24 each. Plus they taste great.  Since we know this is a concern for food storage, contact us if you would like a sample to see for yourself.

Family Grain Mills
Versatile Multi-Grain milling:  The grind is infinitely adjustable, from fine for bread flour, to medium for "Cream of Wheat" style cereals, or coarse for steel cut or cracked grain (if you want to, you can adjust it to such coarse setting that grains aren't even cracked.) The milling head grinds wheat, oats, corn, soybeans, rye, barley, rice, spelt, flax, buckwheat, millet, coffee, kamut, quinoa, and sesame (doesn't grind popcorn.) It will also mill some chopped, dry, non-oily herbs and spices. The Family Grain Mill grinds cool to preserve nutrients.

WHY WE LIKE IT:
It's so easy a kid can do it!  Most hand grinders can be quite the work out.
